Photographer's Note

Obernai in the Middle Ages was the property of the Dukes of Alsace and the monasteries of Hohenbourg of Mount Sainte Odile Hohenbourg.
Obernai in 1240 was freed from the tutelage monastic.
Formerly the city was called Ehenheim the then called Oberehnheim in 1242 the current name is Obernai.
The city was fortified between 1262 and 1282.
I am located at the ramparts of Marshal Joffre.
