Photographer's Note

Good Morning Friends,

Have you ever been to Easter Island or seen photographs of the Moai?
If not here is a good link for photographs. Or Craig (macjake) has posted some great shots this being a good example.

Once you have seen this images, you may understand why I have called my shot 'Easter Island Comes to France'!

I saw this rock, nicely balanced, facing the sky, when I was exploring the Pink Granite Coast in Brittany. I have to say, there were many rocks which impersonated animals or people but this one was the first one to be identified in this way.

The Pink Granite Coast is an amazing area, much bigger than I envisaged. Here, there are collections of huge, coloured boulders strewn all along the coast where tiny paths lead randomly between them. When we were there, lots of other people were also exploring but, because of the large area, crowds never developed; in fact, there were times when you felt you had the rocks and the beaches to yourself!

Hope you are having a lovely day; it is pouring down here, Bev :-)
