Every time a go to Zaragoza I go to shoot this lovely structure named "El Alma del Ebro" (Ebro's soul). Its designer is Jaume Plensa and measures 11 meters hight.

Hello Juan,

What a wonderful version of a favorite theme of yours. Reminiscent of a secret code, the letters appear in random order and backward... Except that it gives the viewer a chance to see letters that are symmetric (right-to-left): A, O, M, T, Y...

Incidentally, we are planning to visit Barcelona this summer for two days on August 11-12 on the Crystal Symphony). Is that you will be in town and we can meet on Sunday, August 11?

Hi Juan,

without any doubt an original and very well detailed composition.Another image that captures the attention due to the difficulties to understand what it is at first glance.I do not like much contemporary art, but i have to admit that it always offers many intriguing ideas.

Hello Juan - This is a subject that presents endless photographic opportunities and I can understand why you visit and revisit the sculpture. This close, square cropped look has a strong graphic quality and also a good feel for depth. The variety of blue hues makes an interesting BG. Warm regards Rosemary

I have seen this sculpture many times on TE but this is the most original shot of it that I have seen. Only you could do this!

It reminds me that we are all surrounded by words and language without which we could not create meaning in the world.

I don't think I've ever seen this angle of the famous Zaragoza statue, Juan. Beautiful composition, and the pattern the letters create as the ebb into the head of the sculpture is great - draws me in. Others have said that it looks not unlike a secret code, which is exactly right. Thanks!
