Photographer's Note
Two skyscrapers on Randolph St., Chicago.
Two Prudential Plaza (left) and Aon Building (right).
End of year last year, Chicago was blessed with a beautiful sunset casting golden colors to the buildings. I went around and took pictures of the skyline at about 4 in the afternoon. These two buildings are my current favorite to photograph - they are located on Randolph St. at the North End of Grant Park in downtown Chicago. Both buildings are very distinctive of Chicago architecture.
Taken in raw.

C'est de l'art géométrique. C'est très beau parce que très simple. Bravo

Happy New Year, Ken - a nice close-up of the two fine skyscrapers. The sun casts a lovely golden glow on the Aon Bldg, and I like how in your frame it appears as a solid unit to the right of the 2 Prudential Plaza's top. Nothing much to suggest here, except maybe in post-pro I'd have tried a perspective adjustment to make the building verticals parallel to the frame borders. Good shot!

Hi Ken! I agree with your notes. The sun did provide beautiful lighting to one side of the taller building. I also like how you've cropped or captured the 2 buildings together, very artistic, and nice angle, too. Great shot! rgds.

Beautiful shot of both of them, Ken. The lighting is perfect here. Great catch at the end of the day. And both are well lined up and you got in nice and close to them with the lens. The concrete lines vs. the more light glass and stone are a great contrast. I would just suggest correcting the verticals for this kind of shot to add a level viewpoint feel. Because these really are great lines. Very cool, great job.

I love the Chicago skyscrapers...isn't the right one also called Amocco tower or something like that? Anyway there is indeed nice light at the time of this picture!
Say hi to the windy city from me!
Happy new year! Léonie

Yes, the light is very fine here. So is also your compo with a top to balance the midportion cropped to go on for ever. I think you can crop the sky on the right side though.

Beatiful light indeed and with a fine composition as well - seems like you shot the tower and showed it in two piezes - thanks Ken - very fine job.
