A fisheye's view of Chicago's Millennium Park

Chicago's latest showcase is 24 plus acre park designed as a center for art, music, architecture and landscape design where the public can experience everything from interactive art and ice skating to dining, free classical music and dance theaters. In the photograph is the park's most prominent feature - the dazzling Jay Pritzkier Pavilion, considered to be the most sophisticated outdoor concert venue in the world. Designed by Frank Gehry, the Pavilion features billowing headress of stainless steel ribbons that frame the proscenium. Above the lawn seating area are overhead trellis of criscrossing steel pipes that basically defines the open air acoustical canopy. The speakers have been removed for the winter and will be re-installed in the spring.
