Photographer's Note
Lake Michigan on Fullerton and Lake Shore Drive, Chicago
Downtown Chicago (Streeterville Area) as seen from one of my favorite vantage points. You've seen pictures taken from this area before: here, here, here, and here to name a few. Again, the two main buildings seen here are on he left, the Lakepoint Tower which is the lone building apart from the bunch. This used to be the tallest residential building in the world. The tall building in the middle of the bunch with the antennae is the distinctive John Hancock Tower or Center which is among the tallest (number 15 or thereabouts) in the world.
It was sunny where I was standing (you can see the light on the figure) but these menacing clouds were marching toward us from the southwest. Ten minutes later, I was drenched.
Tech: rotation, noise reduction (Isox Pro), brightness/contrast, saturation, resizing and unsharp masking.

Great composition, and very good moment, you caught very good lightening, the horizon in the clouds' shadow and the nearest part has a sunlight.

Another cracking shot of one of the world's most beautiful skylines, Ken. Apart from the clouds I really like the light you managed to catch, and having the cyclist sit in front and enjoying the same view as anyone looking at your picture is a great compositional device. Excellent detail and depth, well captured.

Yes, you do allow us a thorough study of this point of view, but a great point it is!
I like the light/ shade effect here, and the colors are very good and distinct as well.

Thats a nice combination of lights, so dark on the city but still sun in the foreground and even on the beach. But this gives a time-to-run feeling.

The cyclist in the foreground adds a point of interest as well as balance to this 'classic' composition of the Chicago skyline. Good DOF, Ken, but I might have tried increasing the contrast a little more. Cheers . . . David
