Photographer's Note
This is one of my takes on the World Trade Center. Almost everytime I have been to New York the weather has been either rainy, heavily overcast or completely smoggy. This was the only time I had a clear sky and tried for this shot. What I liked about the World Trade Center was the purity of forms used in every part of the complex, not only the towers. So with this push of the shutter release I tried to capture this purity.
Just as with my other scanned images, this one is from a print on my old AgfaScan IIsi at 400 dpi, descreen 250 lpi and sharpness 1000%. Then resized in Corel PhotoPaint.

Your position to create this image has been very well choosen, because all edges are forming a beautiful geometrical design. I specially like the 90° formed by the two roof edges. Light is pure, and your play with dark and bright surfaces is very well done. The sky above the left building is showing a nice and subtle line. The cloud is very well placed in the composition. Very good pic!

I liked the geometry and perspective of the shot. The other is also the rays of light passing through the tower on the left. Sky is blue and exposure just right for the mood. I can never take another pic of this again. Well done Paul.

Simple photo but beautiful. I reach the sky. I like the effect of light in the top. A nice memory for so many people. :-)

very good position to take a picture. it seems there is nothing else around, only those two buildings. i like simple lines and contrast between the suny part and that one in the shadow.

Hello Paul. These two towers, and their occupants, will be present forever in our memory. They also form part of our past, as those which I published... Your composition is perfect. The twin towers would like to meet at the strong point of the picture such as an unattainable firmament. Not reaching that point, they suggest us a rectangle with the golden proportions... Thank you for this great vue.

I spent a summer in New Jersey close to 20 years ago and would meet up with friends in this plaza before going out in NYC. I would lie on a bench looking up at this view while waiting for my buddies to turn up. Thanks for this reminder of those days!

J'aime la géométrie obtenue, par contre la qualité du scan provoque beaucoup de bruit
