Photographer's Note
This is the only building I have ever seen with round windows. It is the Maritime Hotel, located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.
It was originally built in 1966 as guestrooms for members of a sailors union, and to make them feel at home, the windows were designed to look like the portholes on a ship. Over the years this building has transformed into a home for runaway teens, and a dormitory for Chinese students, before becoming the chic hotel it is today.
I have not been inside any of the guestrooms, but from photos I've seen on the internet, you do get the feeling of being on a ship while looking out of these windows. My view is from the courtyard, where an outdoor café is located.

Hi Brenda,
An interesting kind of building with these round windows. They make a fine pattern here and your POV provides some other nice angles to be combined with this pattern.
Kind regards

Hi Brenda,
I like the graphism presented by you in this shot. The diagonals works well to make the image dynamic. It's also nice to see the tree breaking all that architecture details. Nicely done!

Hi Brenda,
Well composed, excellent tone and interesting architecture!
Yor're capturing well this target from a good angle.
So, it's very good color contrast for central architecture with round windows and surrounding pillars with stripe of grey/blue.
And, it's interesting in the one like lantern under screen.

Hello Brenda,
Indeed the round windows of the building are evocative of the portholes of older ships. I'm fascinated by the way you framed the photo in the oblique lines of a shelter!?! It also reminds me of the frame from the
the Window of a Vaporetto. Excellent note, as usual.
Warm regards. Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Brenda,
The low-angle shot from the courtyard is very effective to obtain a good perspective, and to take profit of the strong graphism that offers us the geometry of this singular architecture.
The game of lines, circles and angles is very interesting, and the incorporation of some decorative and natural elements it form a composition really attractive at sight.
Nice work, my friend.
My best wishes,
Josep

Hi Brenda
its funny how its created to reflect the ambiance of the boats and ships....you'd think after sailing for months and months (probably), the last thing you want to look out of is another small round Porthole!
lol
no?
at least thats how I feel!
I'll have to check it out online to see the inside too.
very interesting building, we don't see too many like this with the silver metalic outside...or perhaps its concrete and the sun is just shining on it like that.
looking forward to some Xmas photos :)
hope i'm not pressuring you too much! haha
cheers

Hi Brenda,
I like this one a lot, especially after coming on the heels of a graphic type series myself. As Craig has mentioned before, your photo's from around the city always provide new, fun, and useful information. This is a place I would love to photograph on my next visit. Packed full of shapes, patterns, contrasting color and even a bit of whimsical appeal. Wonderful framing to best exploit those characteristics...even have a splash of greenery and natural element to add even more interest. Very well seen an arranged...a skoopsie of geometrical life. :) Have a great weekend.
Friendly wishes,
Jason
