Photographer's Note
Origin: Established in 1735 while New Hampshire was still under governance of
Massachusetts, this town was the site of Fort Number 1 in the line of protective trading
forts bordering the Connecticut River. After New Hampshire became an independent
province under Governor Benning Wentworth, the town was incorporated in 1752 as
Chesterfield, after Philip Stanhope, fourth Earl of Chesterfield. The Earl served as
Secretary of State and joined William Pitt in opposing what they considered England's
unfair treatment of the American Colonies. Chesterfield was the birthplace of Harlan
Fiske Stone, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court from 1941 to 1946.

Hello Tom, So nice to see some of the lovely New England architecture. Very well composed and an excellent picture of this Town Hall. I note the stone surrounding the green grass in the foreground. Very attractive and probably useful for keeping cars and pedestrians from walking on the lawn. Have a good week. I always enjoy the New England touch that you have with your shots. Regards, Roger

Bonjour Tom,
de très belles lumières bien équilibrées pour une composition toute simple bien mise en format vertical. Un cadrage un peu juste toutefois.
Mes compliments.
Daniel.

Hello Tom,
The framing is a little tight, but otherwise it is a good capture of this charming little church, which is completely different to this you see over in Europe. Tones and textures in wood and stone are beautifully rendered. I like the unusual bell tower very much.

Dobar motiv i uvodni tekst ...
Lepa stara arhitektura, kamen od koga je napravljena dao joj je lepotu, dobro ste je prikazali dobrim bojama i lepom fotografijom.

Hi Tom
It's a simple church taking us back with its architecture almost 300 years. Good note too. Your composition framed the church very nicely. Good use of geometrical design with the road in the FG. Nice contrasts too. Well done. Thanks for your critique of my paddy field shot from Yan.
Best regards

Hello Tom,
A framing a little too tight I think but a small beautiful and interesting church, in particular in his wind vane, not of cock but a fish apparently !!! The luminosity and the colors are very pleasant and emphasize well the architectural details of the building. Pretty glance and thank you for the instructive note Tom.
with all my friendships and with soon,

Tom,
This is a nice shot of this historic town hall. The angle of the shot is nice giving the photo a fine sense of depth. The inclusion of the road in the foreground adds a nice diagonal which creates a sense of direction through the shot. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has fine sharpness.

Asa
