Hi Ike
This is the first time that I've seen a brown pelican. Well caught with the late low sun on its side making the feathers almost glow.
cheers

Hello Ike,
It's a fine "portrait" of this local who seemed to enjoy the sunset as much as everyone else. It didn't seem to have moved even an inch during the minute between the two photos. I like the warm light too.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Ike,
Beautiful bird picture. I really like pelicans, one of my favourite species they look so clumsy but are such skilled fishermen. Nice composition with the beach blurred in the background. The light of the sunset adds a nice touch as well.
Excellent work,

Hi Ike,
The tight frame is putting the bird in evidence. The point of view of the Brown Pelican. The light is giving nice tints to the colors of the picture. Have a nice dya.

Hello Ike,
A beautiful and sharp photo of this wonderful brown pelican. The warm light of the sunset is perfect too and makes the feathers of the bird stand out so well from the deep blue water.

Hello Ike,
We have a b&w version of pelicans here that are close cousins of this American brown penguin. Good sharpness and framing with the sea as a backdrop. Tfs!

Hello Ike, I think that you chose the right shot as a main post, but the difference is hardly discernible.
The evening light has given a soft light that has highlighted the colour and texture of the pelican’s feathers.
The sharp focusing is excellent, we can even see the tiny feathers on the top of its head.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Ike,
I guess brown pelicans are rarer that white ones. I like the blurry background and the tinge of the sunlight.

Hi Ike
yes....CLASSIC subject for Florida. I have been to Florida many times, and these are so common. they are amazing birds, weirdly constructed with long necks but very short legs and a big belly. they can be quite intimidating. lovely shot with this side lighting. good bg blur too
cheers
