Photographer's Note
This fish is the State Fish of Hawaii where it is known as the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a! That's Hawaiian for "grunts like a pig". It is named after Pablo Picasso most likely because it looks like a modern piece of art. It lives in shallow reefs and protected lagoons over sandy or rubble areas, from East Africa to Hawaiian, Marquesan, and Tuamoto Islands, north to southern Japan, south to Lord Howe Island, throughout Micronesia.
Picture taken in the Tampa Aquarium.
