Photographer's Note

This little fellow almost ended up under foot during an afternoon hike along the river. It scampered over the edge of a rock and hung out while I took some snaps. That's the Potomac River in the background. This shot taken on Bear Island in the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park on the Maryland side of the Potomac; Virginia is on the opposite shore. Another shot can be found on TN.
