Photographer's Note

It is June, and the rut is 4 months away. I must bulk up and store energy, grow my antlers lager for the duels that lay ahead. I am a young and a strong white tailed deer. My lineage depends on my success as the season once again lies ahead.

That's what I would say if I was looking for mates in the wilds of the Smoky Mountains.

This is a very nice photo related to the wonders of the natural world. Yes, all the living creatures deserve our attention and protection. Today morning while walking in the surrounding hills, I came upon a young deer grazing in green bushes, very similar in look to this one on your photograph. An award worth shot, tfs.
