Photographer's Note
Due to the big 9.5 earthquake in Alaska in 1964, the trees were exposed to salty water which explains their preservation.

Nice composition and combination of colors. I don't know if it was intentional, but I like the way the twin trunks at center intersect the twin peaks of the mountain at center. The clear separation between the tree trunks and background give the photo depth. The only things that would make it better (not that you could likely control either) are still water and some separation between the mountains' reflection and the grass in the water.

Nice shot Pim. Beautiful colours and reflection. A little too busy for my taste, it is difficult to find the focus of attention with all these dead tree trunks.

Beautiful plea for the preservation of nature.
On a photographic point of vue, many interresting details to discover. I like how the trilogy water, land, and mountains comes in harmony.

This is a very impressive photo, especially the trees in the water. What camera did you use?

Hoe kan ik dat foto nou hebben gemist?
How is it possible I missed this photo?
Clear and sharp, making me want to be there...
I think it would have been nice to see a shot taken from a lower position, just above the water level maybe?
But even though this is beautiful! Well done.

Very good reflect, I like very much this photo. The reflections on the water, of course, gives an important part of the impact when you see it, but also, the dead trees, the brown field, the snow on the top of the mountains, the vertically & horizontally composition, the blue colours... well, as you see, a lot of things to see and discuss. Lucky with the wheater , but not everybody does this photo in the same conditions. Congratulations.

Very picturesque shot. I like the way the reflection is captured. And though the shot has not much of greenery, it has its unique attaction and beauty in it!!
