Hi Mick, i like your idea but the only problem i have with this picture is fact that u decided to totaly block the sky and show are rays together with the cactus,i guess it would have looked much more impressive.

Stunning backlight shot. The use of low angle is just superb here. You did not mention any fill flash yet there are much details in the shadow. Did you use digital blending?

I like this composition. It is ery unusual, but very well done :) Very dramatic.

The cactus shining with a backlight is very beautiful. It seems that a sharp prickle is eatable by being described softly. If a more wide-angle lens is used, clouds will flow in the shape of radiation, and the cactus will emphasize further. Very well done!
