Photographer's Note
Howdy, one and all!
Since I've had a few recent contacts from TE members on other media platforms I use, I thought I'd take a quick moment to drop by once again and say "hi" to those here that I don't see anywhere else. :)
A couple months back my good friend Krzysztof made a visit to the southwest U.S., one of his stops being the Grand Canyon. Some of you may remember him from this site as well, long ago. It was great to see him once again, and this time in my own "back yard." :)
As you can imagine, we shared a lot of laughs and took a lot of pictures while running up and down the canyons edges. This shot however, was taken from inside one of the visitors centers. The late afternoon light was impossible to resist, and it was nice to have a slightly different take on seeing the canyon itself!
Hope everyone is doing well, and I wish you all an early happy and healthy holiday season!

Hello Jason,
It's always nice to see your rare appearances here. This is a good shot where the window/door (or whatever) makes your friend look like he´s watching the Grand Canyon on a movie screen. The light falling on a corner of the room seems to create a direct connection between the inside and the outside. It's a kind of strange photo but very well composed and quite fascinating.
All the best to you,
Gert

Hi Jason,
You've written an interesting note and how nice that you were able to meet up again with Krzysztof to visit the Grand Canyon. And I like the picture of the two of you together - very nice!
But, from the photographic point of view, your main picture is absolutely stunning. I love how you have used the large window in the visitor centre to frame the view across the canyon while a visitor admires the distant view too. Not only that, but the light coming in the window rather nicely lights the stonework of the interior of this building.
A beautiful photograph, well composed, with perfect exposure, lovely light and colours and exceptional details and sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Jason,
I have seen you picture with Krzysztof on FB and I wondered if you met again. I am glad that Trekkers still meet from tome to time. But when you are such a rare guest and also Serghei hasn't been seen here for quite a time, such a wonderful meeting as our in Perm wouldn't be possible anymore :(. But it is great to see sometimes with a new picture. Original view of the Grand Canyon through the window. I like the light falling on the trousers and dark silhouette of the guy.
Very nice Workshop picture :).
Have a nice week

Hello Jason,
It's great that you got to meet up with Krzysztof again. I like this moody and atmospheric shot, with a nice play of light and shadow. I also like that we are almost like peeping Toms, looking behind K to see what he's seeing. (it was easier to just use an initial there!)
I hope all's well on your end. I met up with Serghei and Craig again this year. Any plans to come back east? :-)
