Photographer's Note

The Getty Center is not only a great museum, a masterpiece of architecture by Richard Meier, and a vivid meeting point for calure and communication. It was also conceived as a place in which gardens and other outdoor spaces were as integral to its overall character as the architecture.
Landscape architects Laurie D. Olin and Emmet Wemple shaped the native hilltop and the native environment, lookingto historic precedents as the Alhambra in Granada, Spain, and Villa d’Este in Italy. Robert Irwin designed the Central Garden, conceived as an ecer-changing work of art.

What a wonderful viewpoint. Nice strong contrasty colours. Well framed with the city fading away in the background. I get a feeling of vertigo just from the height!.

I Like the very expressive geometrical lines in perspective towards the circle, indeed nice architecture placed in this landscape and you spotted it out very clear towards the soft misty background. One thought dough ... you could afford this ?

This is a very interesting view point, and I am glad that you included in your note the intents of the architects. Good colors and contrast with the smog in the distance. :o)

comment: I've just finished watching my new extended edition of the movie "Return of the King", and I was immediately drawn back into the fantasy world, this reminds me of one of the CGI locations in the film: the Minas Tirith towers which extend out of a mountainside like this. So, of course I think this is a well seen photo spot. ;o)
