Photographer's Note
This afternoon I went to the Getty Museum in LA to check out an exhibition of works by all the greats in the history of photography. That was a dum move on a sunday. It was overcrowded so I decided to postponed the exhibit and fire a few shots myself.
On this one I get a lot of help from Julia Margaret Cameron. The face in the front is a banner promoting the exhibition. I've merely used it as foreground. Maybe this is mere exploitation of one of the past greats. However, like the contrast between the serious look of the maid from 1868 and the woman from 2004 who fix her shades while reading a gossip mag.
I hope I will not be expelled from TE due to blasphemy, hybris and copyright violations...

Very interesting shot. I like the mix of those four women faces – one in a banner, of a sitting woman and two in a cover of the magazine. I also like all the white squares in the simple background.
Very well done.

Interesting ide. I think this particular shot would have benefited from a bit more detail in the mag reading girl.

Nice shot, i like the interaction between the poster and the woman (you know i like such images :-)). The thing is that the woman is to dark - you try some PP to clear it.

Hello Mikkel,
Excellent Juxtaposition between the foreground and the Background. The division of the frame into two is excellent, TFS.
