Photographer's Note
Ocean View Boulevard, Monterey
This photo was taken from the northern tip of Monterey Bay, near the Pacific Grove Golf Links. I thought the rocky shorline was beautiful.
Some interesting facts about the city:
-Population ~ 31,000
-Many California "firsts" occurred here, including California's first theater, brick house, publicly funded school, public building, public library, and printing press, as well as California's first draft of their constitution.
-Was an abundant fishery until it was overfished in the 1950s
-Author John Stienbeck made his home here
-Famed for its abundant sea habitat, including kelp seaweed forests, sea otters and sea lions

Hi Amber. Not at all what I imagined it'd look like. I've heard of the place but believed it'd be soft sands and blue Pacific! Great use of the natural curve to 'frame' the lower half. Not sure if I'm in favour of the vehicles in shot - but I think you intended this as a documentary not an 'artsy' shot. Beautiful place and a fantastic photo. Regards, Paul.
