Photographer's Note

St. Vincent de Paul is a spectacular early 20th century church. Its groundbreaking was in 1926. It wasn't constructed in the styles typical of the time, such as Art Deco. It has beautiful rose windows, side chapels, and a stunning array of stained glass windows depicting saints. Usually, archangels are depicted. In this case, there is a Guardian Angel window&one of a prim-looking Archangel Michael with a "Who is like God?" shield. Unusually, St. Patrick of Ireland is depicted in red vestments while St. Augustine is in green ones.
