Photographer's Note

Another image in my series from our September 23 walk through the aspens on the Mill creek basin trail .. from the Hollowell Park trail head in Rockly Mountain National Park.

and to be redundant:
This is a quiet trail to nowhere .. mostly it just is a connecting route between some of the major trail systems in the park .. but a great place for Fall color. According to a ranger I spoke to this thick strip of aspens is here because early on this was the main logging area for the town of Estes Park .... the trees for the Stanley Hotel came from this area. The aggressive aspens took over but will eventually be naturally replaced by other species.
