Photographer's Note

These are the rolling hills of Pendleton, North-East Oregon. Pendleton is quite different from the rest of the state of Oregon. Being east of the Cascade Mountain Range, it is sheilded from most of the rain that falls on the western side of the state. The climate is warmer in the summer and colder in the winter than that of Portland. Absent are the old-growth lush green forests, as well as the water falls of the columbia river gorge.

Pendleton is also best known for its farming communities and its huge yearly rodeo.
