Photographer's Note
Downtown Chicago at dusk. Chicago's skyline is unparalleled as the city is considered to be the architectural capital of the world. The skyscraper was 'invented' in Chicago in 1885 and since then every type of modern skyscraper architecture is represented in Chicago's skyline. Architectural names associated with Chicago's skyline are, to name a few: Solon S. Beman, Daniel Burnham, Holabird & Roche/Root, George W. Maher, Schmidt, Garden & Martin, Mies van der Rohe, William Boyington, Walter Burley Griffin, William Le Baron Jenney, Pond & Pond, Louis H. Sullivan, Frank Lloyd Wright, Gehry, Ando etc.
Many of you may have seen this view before here and here but this time I took this at twilight time. Hope you like it.
Taken at the 95th floor of the John Hancock Tower, handheld with the VR turned on (tripod not allowed in the observation deck).

I really enjoy these types of photo's with the city lights... Perfect time of shot... light enough to see the buildings but dark enough to see the lights!!
GREAT capture.
WELL DONE!!

Very nice night shot and a very impressive perspective. I like how the long straight streets lead the eye through the picture towards the horizon. Well captured!

Hi Ken, for a hand help photo it is excellent, great sharpness, and I do like too the streets of light seeming to converge on the horizon, it adds a superb depth to the photo

Chiacgo is such a great city! My favourite city of the United States. The skyscrapers are indeed very impressive and the architecture is fascinating.

It's the light that makes this image: sharpness is also commendable given exposure time and lack of tripod. City views taken from high vantage points can look flat, not so in this case due to combination of Chicago's skyline and the cloud formations.
