Photographer's Note

I'm in Taos for a couple of days before starting a workshop on portrait photography in Santa Fe. The light here in the late afternoon has been spectacular both days, and I've taking lots of photos (I have to practice, y'know).

This view from near Taos Plaza shows Taos Mountain, which looms over the city and the nearby pueblo (which is having some sacred dances this weekend, so no photos allowed anywhere in the pueblo). And in the fg is Taos Inn, one of the oldest in town.

Technical: Raise contrast, clarity, sharpness in RAW. In CS3, use Unsharp Mask. (I'm on my laptop this week, which doesn't have a great monitor, some I'm only doing minimal editing.)
