Photographer's Note

The Havasupai trail is part of the Grand Canyon complex and it is a trail of about 17 kilometers untill you reach the heart of the area. The river discharges really blue water due to the calcium content. It's beatiful!

Hi Michel,

A wonderful picture of this very interesting place. I was actually reading about the language of the Havasupai tribe in my linguistics class at Berkeley - it's truly sad that the European settlers had decimated native population. At least that policy has changed in recent years - and people are looking to conserve the native tribes and their languages.
