This is a detail of one of the rock formations in the Monument Valley, a Navajo reserve at the border between Utah and Arizona.
The well famous rocks, seen in many cowboys movies, are red painted by the sunset light.

Hello Stefano,

Very original for a shot from Monument valley. It is changing from what I am used to see.
I think it is the dark stripe in bottom which is really making the impact of this shot by increasing by contrast the rendering of the red color stones.

Hello Stefano,
The bright orange/red and the almost black FG has great impact making it a more creative image than many taken in Monument Valley. Although the mountains look a touch soft the visual effect is still stunning.

Hi Stefano,

I must say, it is a very unique POV and choice of close up. most are trying to show the whole shape of hte rock. Very stong contrast between the shadow and red rock where it seem to be flat because of the direct light but difinately different and kudos for that.

Ah, the iconic Monument Valley rock formations! I like how you have cropped this, reduced the rocks to their still-recognizable essence... the bold lines and colors make this look almost like a graphic logo. Very successful.

The red rocks illuminated by sunset light almost merges with the pale pink sky. The contrast is not strong here & the tones almost pastel. The dark BG on the other hand provides so. A striking image IMHO
