I've been wanting to shoot sunrise at this lake for quite some time but have continuously been thwarted by poor conditions or thick fog. This morning all my failed attempts were forgotten after this light show.

Hi Mike,
Wow, a shot worth the effort and time you have put into it. Its a magical image with perfect reflections and a stunning array of colours. I can see the fog you mention in the distance, which adds to the whole feel and makes this almost like a scene from another planet.

hi mike,
you have produced another stunning paicture. your viewpoint here is superb. the horizon is placed perfectly and the low mist has helped create an incredible effect acorss the hills. stunning cloud formations stretching out across the sky. your use of the longer exposure has helped produce that silky smoothe water and beautiful reflections.

Mike, amazing photo. There are so many sunset pictures but rarely if ever have I seen one this good! All the better for knowing the effort you put in to get the shot. Nice one and thanks for sharing.

The fog that gently obscures the hills is magical especially with the beautiful colours of the sunrise. The cloud effect is excellent - very careful and successful piece of photography.

So worth the early morning wake-up call. Pure magic. The colours are magical , the water a perfect mirror . I love the way the clouds to the right almost glow with that predawn gold
