Just one Drop, a photo from Tennessee, South

Photographer's Note

Little did I realize when I took the image there was one drop falling from the Flamingo's beak. I used my old Canon 300mm FD 2.8 with an adapter. I was able to use it old school on my 40D. Had to go all manual using only my light meter. It is a lot of fun. I take it from time to time to the Zoos for awesome animal images.

A drop worth the shot. A very clean image of the flamingo, the shape of the tiny neck and head with the bend peak, plus the eye pointed at some object, gives an impressive looking image. TFS!!!

J'aime beaucoup ce plan très serré sur la tête du Flamant Rose. Les détails sont d'une superbe netteté ainsi que les couleurs sont bien définies. J'aime le choix de profondeur de champs.

This has a delicacy and subtlety as opposed to a lot of flamingo shots that are bright and garish. The closeup and splendid profile of this pretty bird is also a refreshing alternative and the colours are heaven against the background. The eye concentration really stands out and beak being nice and sharp. You certainly have every reason to be happy with that 'one drop'. It's an incredible lens work, you're obviously a lot more patient than I am, Clap,, clap,,
