If you have never heard the ocean from a distance. I call it the Roaring Silence. You know the ocean is close because of the waves crashing on the shore. It is a unique sound all it's own. A beautiful sound that indicates the power of Mother Earth. As this man clears the boardwalk to access the Atlantic. He can clearly see what caused the Roaring Silence.

Hello Jimmy,
You made an interesting choice of composition to show the sound of the ocean, but it works well. The patterns of the wood, and the light reflected in it, are very attractive, and the silhouette of a person in the far background makes quite an impression. B&W suits a photo like this very well.

This is another artistic presentation, and I really like the atmosphere of this photo. The prominence of the wooden walkway, the man appearing as a small figure in the distance, and the contrast of light and dark, all combine to create a scene with a definite story to tell.

questa foto è molto diversa dalla precedente, qui non si gioca sui colori, ma sulle sensazioni.
Molto bella la prospettiva e ottimo il risultato, la persona fa la differenza.

well chosen the colour tint of the frame and the man on the backdrop to create a mysterious scenery in the whole environment. The falling light and the dark areas enhance even more the beauty of the image.

Wonderful dramatic shot with an interesting perspective and very creative point of view. It is an effective image with the sweep of the boardwalk carrying the eye up to the lone fig and tonal range to die for!

I do like the mono treatment here which has much more impact and punch to underlines your excellent composition and choice of lens setting. A wide angle feast if there ever was one. Superb capture.
