Photographer's Note
NASA sent up a probe to study the sun a few days ago. It is said that the probe will do 24 flybys in 7 years getting closer each time. it will be dealing with 500 times more solar radiation than we do here. the front side protects the instruments behind by a 4.5 inch shield. the shield will see temps upwards of 2500 degrees. Behind the shield will stay a cool 85 degrees due to the lack of any air to heat things up. This probe cost 1.5 billion.

Hi Jimmy
I've always been a fan of NASA, I look on their website quite often and follow the recent news closely. I'm waiting for the day when they send a 'rover' to one of the moons of Jupiter, and Ice moon where there's a liquid water ocean below the surface! With my luck I'll be dead by that time :(
anyways, awesome post here to go with the recent probe to the sun, the burning radiation actually comes through quite well in your photo. fun, creative and spot on. cheers

Hi Jimmy,
A spectacular sunset with good sharpness and warm orange and red tones. We pretty much already know that the sun is a giant non stop hydrogen bomb continuously exploding. Good sharpness considering the zoom and nice tonal contrasts & nuances in the clouds. Tfs!

Hi Jimmy,
The sun is well placed in the frame. Using a tripod and a slow shutter speed is showing the details of the clouds. The sun at sunrise or sunset is giving nice colors to the sky. Have a nice day.
