Photographer's Note
Here the common red shouldered hawk takes a break on a power pole. These birds of prey can be very aggressive during hatching season. The mother is over protective during this time over her wee ones. I have a co-worker who had to wear a bicicle helmut to check the mail daily after an attack. A hawk had split her scalp open. They can be found throughout the eastern United States as well as on the westcoast and southern Canada.

Hello, Jimmy!
Beautiful species you show us here, so imponent over this pole, of which details were also captured with very good texture and sharpness! Very nice colors, beautiful and well saturated! Wonderful job!

Hi Jimmy
it may be common to you, but where i live here on the west coast of Canada, I don't see too many birds like this in the city haha...perhaps they're out on the coastline areas. I'll have to keep my eyes out for these guys, and wear my helmet as well :) fun shot with the bird up on the wire like that, stoic presentation. clear and sharp. cheers

Bonjour, cher Jimmy,
Un oiseau qu'il faut savoir apprécier de loin et de prendre des précautions lors de sa rencontre.
La prise de vue est parfaite ainsi que l'histoire d'accompagnement.
Amitiés.

Hello Jimmy,
This is a remarkable bird photo. It's so clear and sharp and perfectly exposed and we see the majestic hawk from such a good angle. I like that you found it in such an "unnatural" environment. The wooden pole with its faded green paint, the wires and other metal pieces - and everything seen against the clear blue background - somehow underscore the wild bird's beauty.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Jimmy,
A fine capture of the hawk prominently stood on the electric pole.
Bright daylight enhanced details, its eyes, beak, claws and feathers marvelously shown.
My best regards,
Ike
