Superb view from this cemetery located on the cornice facing the ocean, too bad the "residents" cannot take advantage of it!
At the end of the ledge is the lighthouse and the Fort of El Morro which marks the entrance to the bay and the bay of San Juan.

Yes - an amazing location for a cemetery! You caught it just in time because the sun was starting to leave it. The result is a good photo of it and surrounds.

It is a puzzle to me why, but the location of the cemetery is unique and wonder maybe this would be a tribute to people that found livelihood from the ocean.
The slope diagonally cross the picture space, a nice perspective taken from.

Hello Jean,

This is a lovely, well balanced photograph, with people guiding us inwards, a focal point high on the cliffs and a ship out at sea, to further the sense of depth.
Though the light seems warm on land, there is a slight mist, adding a little atmosphere.

The archway gives the cemetery a majestic character.
There seems to be a lot of of figures on your photograph.
Is this because relatives visit frequently or just because the situation has a beautiful view?
As you say, what a pity the inhabitants can't enjoy it!

Jean, the tombs are swept by the marine wind. That cemetery has an idyllic location, it overlooks the sea. The picture has a deep visual field. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Jean,
This cemetery has a remarkable location, and it seems to be a popular tourist attraction. Many of them will probably proceed to the lighthouse on top of the hill. The warm light and the wide view across the ocean also makes this a very appealing photo.

A great photo of the coastline here with vast green fields, which surround this small and crowded cemetery clost to the sea. The dome and tower in the background are also well included and nicely seen in this fine sunlight.

This has to be one of the most picturesque cemeteries in the world! Not sure what happens when the tide comes in, however, never mind a tsunami! Incredible lighting; I think the contrast really enhances the colors here. Razor sharp clarity; great capture... thanks for sharing!

A great perspective here, the location of the cemetery overlooking the open ocean in such a profound way for those souls that are put to eternal rest there. Much of the beauty comes to the surrounding lawns and peaceful atmosphere, even with so many visitors around.

Bonjour Jean,
Un endroit spectaculaire comme lieu de repos final pour ces défunts.
Nous voyons également une chapelle ou une église avec un beau dôme rouge.
De plus, cela semble être un endroit pour de belles promenades au sommet des falaises et pour profiter des vues de la magnifique côte.

even this cemetery hasn't a view like the one of my city, it is the best of the city with a wide view of the horizons ahead.
I liked a lot the image, curious position of the cemetery in a lower part of the terrain, near the sea. nice details of the area around with the fort in evidence.
