Photographer's Note

Near the Great Salt Lake--or perhaps part of it--are large pools of sparkling white water. I'm not sure why the water is so white, but it looks like milk. On closer inspection, it is a very pale green, though it still appears white when the light is right. I converted this to black and white to better capture the essence I felt when I saw these rocks in a shallow pool. It was a foggy day, but my camera didn't pick that up very well, so I added a gaussian blur, then faded to about 10%. If you look closely, you can see some of the salt deposits on the rocks, too.
