Photographer's Note
This is a second photo taken over the weekend during the street festival in my home town, San Anselmo, California. I know that merchants and the city leaders have been looking forward to this event, which generally draws tens of thousands of folks from around the San Francisco Bay Area. Our town was hit badly by a flood the end of 2005 and it has taken some time both to bring businesses back and then bring customers back to the downtown area.
There were plenty of people marching up and down the five blocks of the street fair, browsing at arts and crafts on display. Some just passed by. Here you see a woman who'd actually stopped for a moment at a display of photos by a woman whose work I've mentioned before, Lisa Kristine. I encourage folks to visit her website called Migration Photography. Lisa travels the world with her camera, much as members of TrekEarth do. She has made a career out of her photography. The 30 inch by 40 inch limited edition print you see hanging on this display panel sells for $3,500. When you visit her site you will see her work and information about two galleries where her work may be purchased. She is a real artist. Here is a photo I posted last year as a workshop showing Lisa at her photo display.
The photo displayed is called "High Plateau, Tibet." Enjoy the view.

Hi Curtis, this is quite wonderful. It is as if the lady in front of the photo has just stepped out of the frame, as if she belongs there with her straw hat. I wouldn't be surprised if she was indeed wearing a long skirt. Or maybe she's simply echoing the lady in front of the lake.
I like the way you cropped the frame, and the inclusion of the Visa mastercard sign.
I wouldn't pay 3.500 $ though. I prefer to ask friends on TE if I can have a print of the photo I like ;-)

INteresting treatment, and something about the pose of the real girl that reflects that of the one in the picture, is you see what I mean by real :-)

Very nice cmpoisiton. We can see the lady being echoed in the painting.
I like how all the straight lines, squares are here broken by her curved hat & body. I also like such frame in the frame.
Thanks, Alain -

Hi Curtis - perfectly timed shot, with someone in the framed picture as a compliment to the 'real' woman in your shot. Excellent composition & framing.

Hi Curtis,
The composition in this one is wonderful. Nice how even the color tones match (the hat of the lady and those in the photo within the photo).
Great crop. That VISA sign is a great addition, especially as we seem to be talking about money, not just about art.
