Photographer's Note
The changing leaves of the oak trees, the yellow lichen on the trunks, the browning grasses, and the low angle of the sun all contribute to the warm glow of autumn.
This is a California Black Oak forest (correct me if I'm wrong)! There are 4 different kind of oak trees in this reserve, and unfortunately I did not bring home leaves and acorns to help with identification.
