Photographer's Note
One more photo from yesterdays storm. This was a lucky timed shot. I didn't know that I had caught any lightning until I got home and checked the camera.

Dear Chris, as yesterday very nice first try :) Only bad thing: It is just a single lightning .... ;-) Must have been a real surprise when checking the pictures. The almost centered position works well here and I like the way the surrounding area is also lighten up. Yours, Jan

Wow, such a lucky timing. The chance is one from a milion to catch a lightning. Very good shot and a very dramatic one. The light seems to be correct, maybe because the lightning is too short, so it didn't have a chance to confuse your camera. Well done, Chris.

Great capture here Chris,
Very good atmosphere here, maiby you can make some thunder too. It's so good. The composition is great, good, you must have some luck, but you must have some luck with every shot. Very good job here,

What I like best about this photo is its "duotone" look, with black, white and green only.
Did you try several times to photograph the lightning or did this one just came off by chance ?

Oh my, both for your timing and for that storm. Reminds me of the storm when i was in Oklahoma and the hotel actually was shaking. It made me feel very small. I can easily go back to that feeling hen looking at this post. Very moody shot Chris. The center position of the light work very well in this shot, i think it makes the stom look even more huge.
BTW, i would have LOVED to see this as a Large Post, that would be just WOW.

It is a chance to have collected the flash at the good time at 1/60s. The composition is perfect and I appreciate the dramatic sky with his threatening clouds.
