Photographer's Note

Norfolk Island is a self governing dependency of Australia. (Australians need a passport to visit.) It is located in the south pacific about 1,300km to the east of Australia. Britain became interested in the island in the 18th century intially because of the potential of its pine trees as masts for the navy.
Scanned from 35mm print.
