Rainforest rain, a photo from Queensland, East

On the morning that we were leaving Lamington NP there was heavy rain. This is the view out the back of our rainforest surrounded villa.
That white line down the centre of the photo is not water but is actually a tree trunk.

Rainforest with a rainy day ... well seen an presented, difficult weather conditions for taking photo, well made here with leaves in the FG, good contrast, nice green tones, tfs.

Hi Ian,

I can see small waterfalls cascading out of the upper canopy to the forest floor. You picked a good day to leave. The leeches would have been out in force within a day or 2 after such a downpour.

Hello Ian,
It's raining like I remember Borneo, or maybe even more. I can't recall such a waterfall coming out of nowhere as the one in the center of this photo. It was a good time to leave, before the roads were flooded.

Hi Ian,

The rain is giving a special mood to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the trees in the rainforest. There is a good contrast between the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hello Ian,

I'm glad you mentioned the tree trunk for it could easily have been mistaken for cascading water!
I didn't realise that Australia had a rainforest area! You live and learn!
The greenery looks very lush.
I like how you have presented the scene, almost like looking through a green window, gazing deeper into the forest.

A great photo of the dense forest. I really like the slight haze, which created a wonderful mood. Also the overhanging trees are well included and add a nice contrast.

When I view this photo I can imagine how good the wet forest must have smelled. I've always liked the scent of trees after a good rain. :-) I like the darker leaves hanging in the foreground, and the heavy stream of rain in the center. Take care!

to answer your question about the Kangaroos being a nuisance, you asked where I got that idea from...it was from an Australian TE member. It was years ago, so I can't remember who it was, but I recall him saying something like Kangaroos were a pain in the neck for locals, just like how we consider rats and mice etc....I guess he was maybe referring to them eating farmers crops or something???? anyways....this is an interesting view, especially that tall white line or tall tree trunk...glad you cleared that up. that's some pretty dense bush. cool shot, something totally different. cheers
