Photographer's Note

If you are going down to the Stae of Victoria anywhere in the near future, well then add the Great Ocean Road trip onto your itinerary. Its as famous as Route 66 in the States and just as spectacular..

Took a day trip out of Melbourne on a tourist bus ( new for me as I prefer to do my own thing) but this was so well worth it. 22 of us in the bus and was pleased to see that I was not the oldest ( well just by one person).. Tour guide Clare was great. and went to all the great spots along this amazing Monument ( Yup the Great Ocean Road is the longest Monument in the world - built by the returning soldies from WW2 it was dedicated to all those fallen in WW2- more of that in another image)

The 12 Apostles are the largest standing Sandstone pillars in the world - ( of which there are actually only 7 left) they recon it takes the sea around 500 years to create them and then destroy them- someone must have lived a long time to record that).. here are 2 of them - The light was not great as it was mid afternoon.. but thanks to a polarised filter and some great clouds it helped in creating an interesting image..

well worth the trip
