Photographer's Note
Apologies for the lack of a note to those who've already looked at my photo and may have commented. I had an error message when I uploaded and did not think the upload had gone through.
I had written about the game of Trugo, the name of which you can see on the front of the old red train.
The game was invented by railway workers in the Melbourne inner suburb of Yarraville in the 1920s. It is slightly similar to croquet and involved striking a rubber ring from a track buffer with a mallet. The reason I uploaded this was because just a couple of days ago I saw this article on our ABC (similar to BBC) website, and remembered taking this photo about a year ago, in the company of my friend Klaudio (daddo).
The fellow on the left is a waiter, or perhaps a chef, in a Yarraville cafe, and he had a short break from work and went over to sit down and talk to his friend. Klaudio and I were having a couple of beers at the end of hot afternoon taking photos nearby. I asked them if I could photograph them, but neither of them said anything, or adjusted their poses, so I took it. I had no idea that Trugo meant anything and could not work out what the mural signified. I researched it later, and knew quite a bit about Trugo before the appearance of the article in the ABC.
HERE is the link to the article. I suggest you read it and play the very short video which demonstrates how the ring is struck.

Hello Andrew
I like how the rainbow metamorphosizes into the red trolley tram or train. The fg duo bring us back to reality. Good sharpness and well framed and composed with excellent control over perspective. Tfs!

Hello Andrew,
I like the photo (colours, characters, cropping), but it raises questions about the painting and the persons. What are they doing there? Unless a note is added one of your fellow mods may decide to delete it for breaking the rules. ;-)
Regards,
Gert

Hello Andrew,
I had never heard of 'Trugo' so I researched it and was really surprised to find that it is an actual game, involving mallets and rubber rings! I would suspect that the rubber tyre from the bus has been used to be hit up the icy ramp!
The two guys look like happy, tolerant friends, maybe exhausted from playing Trugo or just passing the time!
Whatever, it's a fine shot, sharp and well composed.
I like how you have added a huge border to make the whole seem like a mural in its own right.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello,
J'aurai aimé en savoir un peu plus sur le moment de la photo... elle me parait rigolote et les personnages m'ont l'air d'être deux cuisiniers ?.... je me trompe ?.
Cordialement,
JP
