Photographer's Note
The view of the giant sand dune oppostite the village of Opononi in the Northland of New Zealand's North Island.
Visitors can take a boat from Opononi to the oppostite side of the bay to experience the thrill of sand-boarding down the giant sand dunes into crystal clear water.
After spending a month in New Zealand in February, this is one of the most memorable sights from both of the islands for me. The contrast of turquoise water, golden sand and blue sky is an unforgettable sight.

Olá Russel,
The sand dune is beautiful and the colour of the water is also beatiful. This is the photo is very balanced and beatiful. I only think that this photo needs something more, a person, a tree...something

olá,
like Jardim said, this photo needs something. a boat or a person would result very well. but i think that it would result even better if the photo was on a horizontal plan! in this way everybody could have a wider view of this beautiful landscape.
take care

Hi Russell, It's very beautiful shot with excellent light. I like a lot the colours of dunes and the atmosphere that is depicted from your picture. Also the composition is great with the division of the frame in tree parts, the sand the sea and the sky. best regards Renata

Hey Russel,
A wonderful scene, very vivid and colorful. An interesting experiment, with the vertical composition, I think it works, because there are at least three layers here.
Enjoy.
