Photographer's Note

This is the view from a spot called Pop's View, a lookout on the Milford Road. It looks across the Hollyford valley to the mountains that are traversed by the Routeburn Track. The isolated peak on the right is Emily Peak. In the foreground is a plant known as Kamahi, which has pinkish flowers shaped like bottle brushes. It is fairly common, but not very noticeable unless it is in flower.
