Along Milford Road 1, a photo from Fiordland, South Island

I'm now taking you towards Fiordland's most famous sight - Milford Sound. But first - the road to Milford has much spectacular and varied scenery.
Today's main photo is of one of the lakes beside the road. The lake's name is Mirror Lake and it certainly was when we stopped there. Tour buses make very short stops so we had the place mostly to our selves.
In the WS is are 2 photos taken along the Eglinton River, also beside the Milford Road.

Lepa priroda, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom.

My bus tour to Milford Sound included a stop at the Chasm and a scenic drive through Eglington Valley to Homer Tunnel and Pass. Good colour and reflections. Tfs!

HAha, as I supposed, you went to Milford Sound. The road there is really spectacular. You were lucky with the weather, it was raining when I went there. Three beautiful photos. Here nice reflections and reeds.

I can only use my iPhone presently, so no large views possible, but the beauty of the scenery is obvious in any case, including the reflections in the main photo.

Hi Ian,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the mountains. The light is bringing out the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

When you see scenery, like this, it causes a sharp intake of breath! How beautiful! How calm!
Can you see a sleeping crocodile (with its snout cropped!)?

Hi Ian,
Milford Sound is one of the names which I have heard so many times and I was always impressed with picturesque views from there.
This is a fabulous composition. The reflection in the water in the foreground adds a great touch. The resulting geometry is quite nice. Great well saturated colors. Interesting pattern of the clouds.
