Patagonian Cliché, a photo from Rio Negro, South

Photographer's Note

Back to Argentina, this time to the north of Patagonia… and at my own risk, with an image that is one of the most common ‘postcards’ in Argentina ;-)!

Some 20 kilometers away from the city of Bariloche, the road reaches a place where you have an open view (this is called ‘Panorama Point’) to the north, with the lakes Moreno (in foreground) and Nahuel Huapi.

The Nahuel Huapi lake stretches through two of our provinces and lends its name to a national park.

All these Patagonian lakes (there are many in the region) are of glacial origin, with cold but very clear waters.

The building is the Llao Llao Hotel & Resort.

Again a triple feature, so there are two additional images in the WS (basically, the same PoV, but with different fields of view).

Hola Carlos,

but what a postcard! A really breathtaking view! Together with the 2 ws you convay very well the beauty of the landscape. Good balance of light, not so easy with the white mountains in the background...

love the houses in middle. Great details in mid area of the frame. Nice light. Good composition with those trees at left and nice blue water at right... Great view indeed. The mountains at background are overexposed... But, I can feel the situation here, and enjoyed the frame you presented. Tfs.

La verdad que es conocida la imagen de este hotel, pero nunca la habia visto tomada en forma panoramica

Me encanta el colorido azulado intenso del lago y montañas en contraste con la vegetacion

Hola Carlos, es muy difícil escoger una foto y decir un par de palabras porqué tu país ofrece una belleza natural maravillosa y un lugar es más bonito que el otro..

bueno parece que he encontrado a alguien muy especial..... un Argentino que se molesta en escribir critiques..... una rareza..... pero te lo agradesco.
Esta foto esta estupenda..... los colores " spot on " .... yo la tome en Abril del mismo ano...... estuvimos con mi senora por 6 meses recorriendo el pais que yo deje hace ya 42 anos.
Me alegro de que volviste a TE y veo que estas bien preparado con varia camaras de marcas variadas.

un panorama precioso de lagos y montañas majestuosas, con su manto de nieve, que nos ofreces en un amplio ángulo visual, y donde podemos ver también el fantástico hotel en medio de un paisaje paradisíaco.
Me gusta la calidad de la luz y de los colores, así como la inmensa profundidad de la imagen, que has alcanzado gracias a una excelente realización.

I had the pleasure to visit Patagonia though not here, and I know it is cliche to have such image, but why not? The landscape and view is stunningly beautiful and it take our breath away. We all wan a representation at least one in our gallery. Here you are so lucky with such fantastic sunny day. one can see so far into the distance. The light is actually amost too strong with contrast in the middle of the day but you did very good with all the details throughout. So much to look at and appreciate.

There are so many beautiful areas in your country. I wish to return in the future.

Thank you so very much for sharing this beautiful picture of the Llao Llao Hotel & Resort. It is truly a fantastic resort but we just visited it. My wife and I visited your country in 2011 and really enjoyed our visit of the Bariloche region.
Your photo is really amazing and I can't find anything negative to say about it.
