I seem to remember shooting this wide open on a tripod. The trees cut down on the light so the narrow depth of feel gives the blurred bushes a cool kind of framing effect. The toucan was a pet, one of a pair, in a hostel, though had its wings cuts so the pair of them hopped comically around the courtyard all day

Great Shot. I am always amazied by the colours of this bird. The eyes are soo blue. The are simply beautifull. I really like the narow DOF. Even before reading your note i was thinkng just the same
