Photographer's Note

I would like to dedicate this post to my friend Peter Boehringer pboehringer: Peter, here is the first picture taken with the new lens!

This is an impossible view!
Well, it is possible if you see it through any 300mm lens, just because it creates a different perspective, with shorten distances between the different subjects and making the view different from the real.
I don´t know exactly the distance between my position and that mountains... maybe 5-6km far from. The green line next to the water line is maybe 4km far. The Ferry boat is around 3,5km. The palm tree is around 3km. That rocks are around 2km.
When I saw that clouds between the mountains and the beautiful scenery at that moment, it was just on the background of my POV, far from me. So the 300mm had cutted the foreground to find the most interesting view.
It´s interesting, because I can show this picture to some of my friends that are frequenters of this place, and I am sure that they will not recognize the view at first, and maybe next they could understand when looking at that ferry boat.
The ferry boat is doing its short travel from Caiobá to Guaratuba, crossing Guaratuba bay. I am in Caiobá, at the beach out of the bay.
