Photographer's Note

Hello friends! I have so many photos posted here, and it´s a shame this is the first one showing the city where I was born and still live today: Curitiba, Paraná State, in the south of Brazil. You will find the city on map 852km south from Rio de Janeiro, 408km south from São Paulo, and 300km north from Florianóplolis. The great world famous waterfalls "Cataratas do Iguassu" are in our state, but 610km west from here, in the frontier with Argentina.
Curitiba has trebled in size in just 25 years and now has a population of 1.6 million. The city is settled on a plateau, at parallel 25, 90km from the sea coast and 900 meters up from the sea level. Next March 29, Curitiba will complete 312 years old. It is the most European capital in Brazil. Here there are descendents of Germans, Italians, Ukranians, Portugueses, and some others. I have personally a blend of blood from German, Austrian, Portuguese and Irish. Most of this Europeans settlers came to Curitiba from 1850 to 1900.
I´ve posted a Brazil MAP on the workshop option.
So, greetings from Curitiba! Hope you like the photo!
