Rio seen from the top of the Corcovado hill - it is one of the most famous, most photographed citiscapes of the world. But you can't really imagine what a breathtaking wonder it is until you haven's seen it with your own eyes. Especially after the sunset, when the thousands of city lights make you feel flying above an ocean of stars...

i feel like i am sitting on the window of my flight...about to touch down ... when the captain announces "Ladies and gentlemen, We are to land in Rio de janeiro in a short while...u can take a view of this spectacular city down there...one of the most beautiful cities in the world..the temperature outside is....."
stunning shot my friend...i guess canon eos 5d should be doing good business now...they can use this picture for marketing...the only thing which i wonder here...whether the colors are true..coz canon invariably gives a bit of exaggerated saturation...

An often photographed view of this beautiful city, but I've not seen a night capture like this.
Very good image, the lights do really look like stars.

Wow....what a fantasic view of night time Rio.....full of amazing lights and colours. I don't think I've seen another photo of Sugar Loaf mountain and it's surroundings, on TE. Your settings have obviously worked well providing good detail across the image. Well done.

I have seen it too and after the first time I went back the following day to admire the view again and take more photos.
Here, your blue hour is perfect with the right amount of light to allow a clear vision through out all the scenery, even across the bay to Niteroi. The many layers of mountains in the BG are superb and give an excellent depth perspective. Well done.
