SATURDAY'S COWBOY, a photo from Parana, South

Photographer's Note

As I told you before, in my region there are many young men who revive the Brazilian cowboy old style of life for fun, having meetings, parties, rodeos, trips, meals and camping in nature. These guys are urban people who feels fun in the contact with friends, nature and animals. Of course in this fantasy world there is many girls, beer, Brazilian barbecue and liquor.
They usually imitate the way of life of "tropeiros" a extinguished historical profession of men who did the commerce taking new mules from the southern Brazil to São Paulo and the mines of gold in Minas Gerais, after some time they did the commerce taking products to isolated areas. Other groups of young men imitate the cowboys from Pantanal, who spend their lives taking cows from swampy areas to secure areas and coming back with the same cows all year round.
Here we have a guy taking the mules to an event.
This image isn't so sharp because I was working in my desk when I noticed the guy passing by and he was almost being out of my vision point.

Hi Jorge,

The pink Volkswagen Beetle is eye-catching. The point of view is showing the details of the horse and of its rider. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Jorg,

Through a window, and with the guy on the move, you did a quick, very acceptable photograph! It is well composed, the mule having plenty of space into which it can move and the rider nicely placed on the thirds line.

I don't think I have ever seen a mule looking so happy, it seems almost to be smiling!
I notice the rider is already drinking! Can riders be prosecuted for being drunk in charge of mule? 😆

Hi Jorge,
nice capture of the city cowboy. Your note helps us to better understand what is going on. I suppose if I was a tourist seeing such a scene I would think that locals are still using horses as a mean of transport.

We get a nice image of a modern Cowboy normally a old cowboy with a bottle whiskey in the hand, today with a sof drink.
Excellent photography with excellent quality.

A good photo of the cowboys passing by in the street. The trees add some nice patches of green and that pink car looks nice in the background as well.

Is drink riding legal in Brazil? (of course it may be soft drink). A good photo of man and mules and I see a pink VW Beatle in the background - are there still plenty on the road around your way?

Simpatica escena con este cowboy del sabado, montado en ese mulo que no creo gane muchas carreras, aunque sera una buena ayuda en las labores agricolas. Bonito colos el del VW que vemos detras.
