Photographer's Note

After a while, I´m back with a photo taken last weekend in a beautiful and colorful place.
This town was design inspired by the Antioquian colonization period. The town, on the banks of the Cauca River, in the southwest of Antioquia, is a portrait of that time: cobbled streets, main park, church, cural house, town hall, taverns and houses with white facades, colored skirting and wooden windows. A beautiful place to visit.

Bonjour Sergio,

C'est étonnant de constater à quel point la lumière est belles des deux côtés de la rue. Un soleil très haut dans le ciel je suppose.Un village où les gens aiment bien les fleurs. Magnifique effet entonnoir.

Me alegra ver una foto tuya nuevamente después de un tiempo, y de ese país que tanto me gustó y que ya extraño, a pesar de haber conocido sólo la costa Caribe... Me gusta el fuerte colorido de las casas, y lo captaste muy bien, con excelente manejo de la luz! Lindo trabajo!

Hello Srgio,

This is a particularly colourful street, with its vibrant facades and plethora of flower displays.
The cobbled street is another attractive feature, with its central drain and shadowy contrasts.
Your viewpoint creates a fine sense of depth and perspective, with views to the distant mountains.

A fantastic view down this street. The houses look beautiful and their colours are amazing, most of all the orange and yellow at right. Also the flowers are wonderful addition to this good composition. Great work!

The length of the street is givng depth and perspective to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the facade of the buildings. The light is bringing out the colours. Have a nice day.

Hello Sergio, a lovely colourful street, I can’t believe how bright the exterior decoration of these houses is!
The street also benefits from the flowering plants.
Excellent sharp quality right through to the distant horizon where we can see the mountains.

A very interesting one with the exposed drain running down the middle of the street. The arrangements of the climbers along the walls is also interesting. Good one.

Quant à la composition elle-même, quel plaisir de contempler cette voie pavée bordée de façades élégantes et fleuries.

I was thinking about going to Colombia and finally, I went to Iceland - very different views I had there.

Hello Sergio,
It's a delightful view of the narrow street lined with pretty buildings. I like how those on the left side have mainly green and blue details, while those to the right are mainly painted in orange and yellow. The tall plants along the walls, the trees at the end of the street and even the grass or moss growing between the cobble stones help to create a fantastic depth and symmetry. You handled the light very well and the colours are perfectly saturated.

Que maravillosa la perspectiva de esta calle, con tan preciosas casas llenas de color y bonitas ventanas y balcones, hasta el verdin de la calle contribuye al color y justo las montañas al final de la misma es espectacular.
Punto de vista, nitidez, luminosidad, colorido y la composición elegida son excelentes.
Una foto muy hermosa. Me gusta.

those are some funky colours! certainly doesn't need a new coat of paint haha. these are truly cobbled stone streets, the stones are quite large and oversized. where are the people? haha. wonderful long perspective and view, sweet! cheers

what a beautiful street! Somebody had a great idea making one side blue green and another orange yellow. The complement each other so well. Very picturesque.
Nice composition with the symmetrical view of this street and the central view being the prize for the viewer.

So far I've never heard of Cauca Viejo.
It looks a lovely place with its beautifully decorated houses. I like those warm colours of the house on the right. Beautiful flowers at both sides of the street and we get a great view of the mountains on the background.

I remember from my travel to Columbia that I saw in Salento similar painted houses. They like paint their houses in eye catching colors. Nicely composed long perspective street with colorful houses with many flowers and mountains in BG.
